"I had to tell you how much your visits meant to my mother. You picked her up and showed her how to go on living."
Being there for all the family
We are a local charity providing specialist care and support to those with a life-threatening illness and to their loved ones, completely free of charge.
Every day, we help 80 people in North Devon and Torridgeside cope with the impact of cancer or other serious illness.
We specialise in the kind of care that medicine alone cannot provide. By considering a person's physical, emotional and spiritual needs, we provide a care package tailored to the individual and their family.
Our services include specialist community nursing, in-patient care, day hospice, complementary therapies, emotional and spiritual support, education and training.
We need £2.5m every year to fund our essential services - that's £48,000 every week. We are grateful to the local community who generously support us through money or time donated. Their commitment ensures that we continue to be a lifeline to many people in North Devon.
We hope you find our website useful. Please contact us with any comments or requests for further assistance.
LADIES DRIVING DAY - SUNDAY 13TH JULY
Grab this unique chance to drive all sorts of weird and wonderful vehicles - from Fire Engines to Freight Trucks and from Lorries to Limousines.
Places on this exciting day go fast so please reserve your place as soon as you can. It really is a great day just for ladies. You can enter on your own or in teams of 4. It is a sponsored event to raise funds for the vital work of the North Devon Hospice.
It is an all-day event and you will be given a timetable of vehicles for you and your friends to drive, as well as having a go at a driving challenge set up by the Institute of Advanced Motorists. RMB Chivenore will, once again, play host to this fantastic day. So if you would like to be part of it, call our Fundraising team on 01271 347206.
